Weekend Whammy: Competition To Win Mordhau on PC & Borderlands 2 Free DLC Is Good!

Okay, so this time I’m only one day late with the Weekend Whammy. ‘S close enough, right? Anyway, it was a busy week full of nieces and excitement and sleep and sleep and sleep and sleep and sleep. For some reason I’ve been tired, and the allure of bed has been hard to resis…..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Before I start rambling, would you like a copy of Mordhau on PC? You can read my quick thoughts on the game a few paragraphs below, but essentially it’s a medieval multiplayer mayhem and is a lot of fun. To win a PC code for the game just leave a comment below saying, ” GIMME MORDHAU!” and I’ll pick a random winner on Saturday, JUne 22nd. I’ll contact you via the Email address you provide when leaving a comment, so make sure it’s correct! Right, so this week I vomited up a review for Void Bastards. It was a fun little rogue-like shooter set in space with a nice sense of humour. It just suffered from repetitive gameplay. With more enemy and ship variety it could have been truly great. I may ...

With so many different models of PC gaming chair on the market choosing one can be daunting. So when E-Win Racing contacted me about their E-Win Champion Series and why they’re some of the best gaming chairs out there I was naturally interested. Currently selling for $309 (with another 30% off using code PCGamer) on the official E-Win site, the E-Win Champion Series gaming chairs offers some serious bang for your buck. It starts with the solid steel frame that gives this PC gaming chair the strength and stability that you want and need when paying for a high-end product. A class 4 gas lift able to handle up to 150KG ensures that the Champion Series can handle any size of gamer. When it comes to comfort the chair features cold molding foam with a 55KG density. Patch Notes: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Anthem Might Be Dead & Darksiders 4 At E3

Ladies, gentlemen and highly evolved chimps that have learned how to browse the Internet, welcome back to Patch Notes, the bi-weekly series where I chat about some of the gaming news that’s rocking the world! This time I’m chatting about Sony aiming to make movies based on their games, an exciting new Call of Duty, a Call of Duty in trouble and Darksiders 4. So let’s get into it, shall we? Sony Launching New Studio Focused On Game to Film Adaptions Movies based on video games do not have a very good track record. This doesn’t seem to have bothered Sony, though, who have announced Playstation Productions, a new studio dedicated to making movies and TV shows based off of Playstation exclusive games. So far there’s no word on what the studios first project might be. The only thing they said was that they’re looking toward the Marvel Cinematic Universe for inspiration, which is a tad worrying. Not everything needs to be a cinematic universe, folks. Sony does have a catalogue of games...

This is a paid-for post and contains a link to the sponsor’s website, MonitorNerds. If you are a PC gamer, you need the components of your PC to be the best for gaming. After all, choosing just any old component for your computer can lead to a quick burnout if they aren’t made to cope with the use that a frequent gamer puts a PC through. Bullet Witch PC Port Review

Platforms: Xbox 360, PC Reviewed On: PC Developer: Marvelous Inc. Publisher: XSEED Games, Marvelous Inc. Singleplayer: Yes Multiplayer: No Review code supplied free of charge by the publisher. There are many games from the Xbox 360 and PS3 generation that never made it to PC but deserved to. For example, despite the pleas of thousands upon thousands of gamers a port of Red Dead Redemption never happened. But when you consider the vast catalogue of titles itching for a PC port Bullet Witch is not something that would spring to mind. This 2006 game was released to fairly middling reviews back in the day, and while it managed to sell a little in Japan it flopped almost entirely in UK. Now, some 12-years later a PC port has been released onto Steam with absolutely no fanfare, little warning and almost nothing in the way of changes. In other words, this is a game that was made on a tight budget, didn’t do very well and has suddenly turned up 12-years later out of the blue. Okay then...

The Week In Games: Once Again, It's Time To Kill Some Nazis

It feels like only yesterday that I played through the last Wolfenstein game and now a new one is almost here. Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a smaller spin-off starring BJ’s two daughters. I can’t wait to kill some Nazis during the 80s. I’m still impressed that this game, like the last Wolfenstein title, is coming to Switch. I’ll never play those games on Switch, the performance is just too rocky for me, but it is still incredible those games run at all on what is basically a tablet. Advertisement Beyond Wolfenstein, a few big ports and new games are dropping this week. A new Fire Emblem is coming to Switch, Beyond: Two Souls is hitting the PC and Tetris Effect jumps from the PS4 to your computer. And for folks wanting to play Wargroove on their PS4, this is a good week for you. Sadly, no crossplay though. Come on, Sony. Quit being dumb. Other stuff is coming out this week! Check out the list below: Monday, July 22 Rise: Race The Future | Switch Flutter Bombs | PC Life ed | PC Elsinore | ...

Tetris Effect Looks Stunning On PC

Tetris Effect blends the world of visionary studio Enhance with the time-tested, near-perfect rules of Tetris for a euphoric sensory experience. I reviewed it last year for the PlayStation 4, and today, it’s finally out on PC. With enhanced visuals, it looks better than ever. Check out the video to see it for yourself on high-graphics settings. Tetris Effect is already a gorgeous spectacle to dive into on the PS4, especially on a 4K-resolution display with HDR enabled. And if you own a PlayStation VR headset, the optional virtual reality mode turns this game into an entirely different experience. It’s one thing to play it on a 4K TV; it’s another to play it in VR and see snowflakes swirl and dance around you on a gorgeous mountain peak under the setting sun. I got a chance to interview Enhance’s Tetsuya Mizuguchi and Mark MacDonald about the long journey to Tetris Effect. The PC version features support for both the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift. In regular 2D mode, you can crank those ...

A PC, Xbox One, PS4 And Nintendo Switch, All In The One System

The quickest, easiest and most horrifically expensive way to end the console wars forever would be to simply put every major platform on the market in 2019—including a powerful gaming PC—in the one box. And that’s exactly what this one box does. Made by Origin, they call it Big O, and inside its case is the actual hardware for a PC, Xbox One X, PS4 Pro and Nintendo Switch. As impressive as it looks and sounds, it’s not something you can actually buy, mostly because it was made as a stunt for the company’s 10th birthday, and partly because the cost of one of these babies would be insane. I do like the convenience factor, though, as well as the bombast in putting something like this together, so I’m going to indulge them. Advertisement The Nintendo Switch is unchanged, and accommodated by simply installing a Switch dock in the PC’s case. The PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, however, are now liquid-cooled, and each have a new 2TB SSD replacing their standard drives. The PC itself, meanwhile, is an...
